The NoSuptown campaign at Deansgrange, Co.Dublin was carried out on Valentine's weekend.
The campaign took place over St Valentine’s week 2020 and we themed our message ‘Love Deansgrange’ to fit that celebration.
Three separate surveys were devised for businesses, for Deansgrange consumers and separately for students. We interviewed 720 individual consumers and 29 businesses.
The key findings of our survey will be made available to our funders and to relevant or interested groups or businesses who contact us. We also created a competition for the Best Idea to Reduce SUP.
Judges of the competition entries were from the Green Business Office and the Environmental Awareness office of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. 11 prizes were awarded overall. Two first prizes of a €100 voucher were awarded. One for IADT and one for Deansgrange customers. Nine runners-up received prizes of €50 vouchers each.
All entries received were judged on the following three criteria:
Practicality: how easily it could be done
Innovation: how new an idea it was
Usefulness: how much of a contribution it could make
